DTCBotswana And The Seepapitso Class Of 1997 Partner

Joining Hands to Emphasize The Importance Of Education – DTC Botswana And The Seepapitso Class of 1997 Partner to Strive for a Brighter Future Through Education

Earlier today, Diamond Trading Company (DTC) Botswana and the Seepapitso Class of 1997 partnered in a charity walk in Kanye under the theme “Walk for Change.” The walk covered 10km and raised funds for educating underprivileged people in the Kanye community. It also raised awareness about the importance of education.

The Managing Director of DTC Botswana, Mr. Sedireng ‘Sed’ Serumola was the Chief Walker for the event. He emphasized that the walk aimed to make a real difference in someone’s life. As a gesture of support, DTC Botswana pledged P15,000 to assist a former Seepapitso Class of 1997 student, Mr. Terence Sharp, who unfortunately became blind in 2023.

DTC Botswana’s generous donation will sponsor Mr. Sharp’s braille, jaws, orientation, and mobility education at the Pudulogong Rehabilitation and Development Trust for the Blind in Mochudi. This contribution will significantly improve his quality of life.

DTC Botswana actively supports initiatives that promote access to education, as education is vital to unlocking the potential of communities and building a better future for future generations. Through this donation, DTC Botswana is empowering Mr. Sharp and creating a more inclusive society for everyone – a goal that DTC Botswana is committed to.

The walk was a collective effort, as DTC Botswana employees, representatives from the local administration, the Seepapitso Class of 1997, and the Kanye community all came together to demonstrate a shared commitment to the cause.
